The classic blue color represents the distinctive and most sought-after hue of this beautiful stone but natural sapphire exists in a wide range of colors all commonly identified in the FANCY sapphire category and specified by the name “sapphire” followed by the colour:

Fancy sapphires, although not included among the so-called “classic” precious stones (ruby, emerald, blue sapphire) are NATURAL SAPPHIRE and therefore no less fascinating or precious, on the contrary, some of these are very rare and highly sought after such as the famous Padparadscha (in Sinhalese it means lotus flower), wonderful stones of an intense pink-orange appreciated by stars and crowned heads.
